Terms of use

Last updated: 20 October 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

Hoglet™ is run by Arbat Partners Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, company number SC875195. Our registered office address is shown on the Companies House record. Email: hello@hoglet.games.

2. Using Hoglet

Anyone can play. If you're under 13, a parent, carer or teacher should know you're using Hoglet. By playing, you agree to these terms. If you're using Hoglet as part of a school, the school's agreement with us applies too.

3. Pretend money, not advice

All money, profits and losses in Hoglet are pretend. Nothing in the games, the coach, the lessons or the leaderboards is financial, investment or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Real trading, especially with borrowed money (leverage), is for adults and most people who try it lose money.

4. Market data

Some games use real prices and real news headlines from third-party sources. They may be delayed, simplified or occasionally wrong, and the price moves during play are simulated. Never use Hoglet to make real money decisions.

5. Nicknames and fair play

6. Adverts

Hoglet is paid for by adverts and sponsors, which follow our advertising policy. We aren't responsible for other websites an advert links to.

7. Our content

The games, characters (including Hoglet and Hedgie), artwork, music, text and the Hoglet™ name belong to Arbat Partners Ltd. You can play and share links freely, and teachers may print our worksheets for their classes, but please don't copy or resell the games themselves.

8. Changes and availability

We're always improving Hoglet, so games and features may change, pause or stop. We'll try to give notice of big changes. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.

9. Our responsibility to you

We provide Hoglet free and "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate, safe and working, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from using Hoglet, including any real-world financial decision. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

10. The law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
